Re: Badges... Who's got badges

I 've been around the 29th of April 08 allowing the majority of programs to run on my computer. Yes Badges. What Badges? I read it only took 14 days of continuous usage to obtan a badge. Haven't seen one yet.

Oh Well

Brian cool

It is 14 days x 24 hours/day of computing time. Therefore, if you are only running an average of 8 hours/day, it would take you 3 x 14 days to meet the requirement.

It took me longer than 14 calendar days to get the Rice badge; the others appeared when the badge program started because of past time "on-the-job" so to say. And I lost ALL of the time I spent on the various projects on the old UD agent, which if I remember, was somewhere north of 1,000,000 "points" and lots of hours!

BTW -- welcome to the group! Hope you stick around for a while.

Question -- if you care to answer -- what part of Canada? My daughter-in-law is from Nova Scotia.

Perhaps in the future we can admit others who are not called "Brian".

BTW, since no one else mentioned it: the 14 days is on AN INDIVIDUAL PROJECT. So allowing "the majority of programs" will delay your first (and all) badges to the maximum extent. The way to get one fast is to limit your system to one project, like I did. 100% of my hours have gone on "Rice".

You didn't mention that it's on EACH PROJECT!

And since I share his city, I'll respond that you've asked the equivalent of a Seattle-ite if they know someone from Virginia. Vancouver is on the Pacific, and N.S. is on the Atlantic.

Not me, not yet, and I have NRW on four machines, albeit certainly no alone.
But I have been at it for quite a while.
