I currently have four host that have generated new device ids, is there any way to merge them?
I have searched the forums without much luck. |

In short: no.
What did you do that made them get new device IDs? There are some things you can do to avoid this if you are reinstalling your computer, for example. Generally, though, extra device IDs are not something to worry about. |

well, the first one was due to a hard drive crash with no back up. the last three just happened after a couple weeks of isp trouble caused them to generate new cpuids and when I reattached here that made new ids here as well.
as far as having the extra ids, it only bothers me for 3rd party stat sites then show more computers then I really have. |

Liuqyn, as long as all your devices are all under the same member name consider that everything is fine, even in third party stats sites.
----------------------------------------All Distributed Computing lovers know that the number of computers shown in the stats seldom reflects reality. Even without needing to re-install there are several perfectly legitimate ways to have several device ids for the same physical machine (e.g. multiple boot of different operating systems). Cheers. Jean. |
