The problem still needs fixing.
 If the contents of a world writable file don't matter, why is the file even there? If the contents of a world writable file matter, then it should be fixed as soon as possible. The BOINC API has been updated to change the permissions that these files are created with. All future projects released will contain this update. Existing projects will be updated when new builds are required.
