Tuesday night I sneaked into my ex-girlfriend's house and updated the UD installation I put on her computer two years ago to a BOINC installation. No word of a lie. I'm like the WCG robin hood.

So if we hear news reports of the "Midnight BOINCer" striking an unsuspecting home up in the Maritimes, we should keep quiet I take? laughing

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 26 smilesmile

Aww darn, I just lost my five biggest installations. I had Boinc on my PC at work and had remotely installed it on some remote PC's set aside for occasional modeling, but not used 99% of the time. Anyhow, turned out the PC's were running as virtual machines on top of a server, so Boinc was actually sucking up useful processing power from the host machine. So it left a big footprint and the networking guys didn't like that - banned Boinc/Rosetta etc from work computers.

Well, the obvious solution is to buy a few quads and set up a small but powerful crunching farm at your home at extreme cost to you, no?
