I'm cautiously anxious to see how it goes on my PPC Mac. I got one to see if the Mac hanging problem has been fixed with this release. Keeping my fingers X'ed.

I have MANY errors in the faah3* group over the last 3 days. I rarely get errors on my jobs, so this is highly unusual.
The error message says, "<core_client_version>5.10.30</core_client_version>" What does this mean? |

"<core_client_version>5.10.30</core_client_version>" just means that you are running BOINC 5.10.30 rather than the recent 5.10.45. It is not the error. It is just part of the background information. Look in stdoutdae.txt at one of the errors and see what it says or paste the entire error listing accessed from your Results Status page.

The forums have been full of it, but WCG send out 1 extra copy for all the open FAAH & DDDT jobs of the old version 5.42 and 5.15 respectively. If the log is saying nothing but that line it's probably the servers canceled those jobs as redundant.
----------------------------------------If you look in the Result Status quorum detail (click WU name), and follow the timeline, you'll probably discover that the error occurred after the 2nd copy was returned and validated. Anyhow, yesterday the new version 6.03 of FA@H was launched for all platforms.

I think this is what you've asked me to do. (Apologies if I misunderstood.)

Hi qt314159,
If you click on a work unit in the Results Status page, you get a pop-up that shows the quorum for that work unit. Recently we have been speeding up the deployment of the new FAAH program (AutoDock) by sending out extra copies of work units. As soon as we get enough results for a quorum, we cancel the unneeded work units that have not returned results. It looks as though that is what happened to you. You can check that for yourself on the Results Status page. Here is an explanation of how the server can cancel a work unit: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=16541 When a work unit is canceled, the Results Status page lists it as an error. Here is the description of the Results Status page: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=6105 Lawrence |

Thank you, Lawrence. I suspect I should change my preferences to get work more frequently so I'm crunching current stuff. My stats are dropping!
