Can't upload

BOINC can't upload. I have 4 tasks waiting to upload, and BOINC is computing nothing now! It's been like this since yesterday, had no trouble before. Is it me, or are project servers temporarily down?

Re: Can't upload

This is the standard question of the week and month:

Did anything change since when it stopped.... Firewall, AV, Antispam, Proxy?

Re: Can't upload

no, it's been doing it's thing for weeks with no prob. Nothing has changed network-wise, like firewalls or something like that. It just stopped uploading.

I'm assuming it's me then:-)

Re: Can't upload

Okay, 3 step plan

1. Go to the transfer window of BOINCmgr and select the file not uploading and hit Retry Now.
2. If that fails, exit BOINC, wait a bit and restart and see what happens.
3. If that fails, boot machine.... you did do that of course to clean the windows memory leaking garbage.

After, post us the full startup log from the message window, thru when it backs off.

The fact that it finds the reference site tells us it got some trouble getting the secure connection to WCG established. All has been working perfectly here all the time.

Re: Can't upload

Well I was digging around and just found walls, so if you share how you strayed back to the solution, others can learn from this.

cheers

Re: Can't upload

Do not mess about with proxy settings to make BOINC work at the office, and then forget about it when you get home.

And do not say: "No, I have not changed my proxy settings", when it's the first thing helpfull people ask you about.

That's what I learned:-)

again, thanks
