BOINC Agent not showing up

I downloaded the BOINC client, installed it. The WCG insists I still have the United Devices client. This has been going on for a few days.

The old device will continue to be shown on the site, because your past work is linked to it. It will be hidden automatically after a while (but it can never be removed).

The BOINC agent showed up for one day under Device Manager, then disappeared.

What probably happened is you created an additional member account, instead of using the same one you used for UD.

You are logged in now as "Gloucester". Open BOINC Manager, click "Advanced", and go to the "Projects" tab. What does it say in the "account" column?

Well, that all looks fine.

So, why do you think you aren't getting work? What does the Messages tab say?

This one probably explains why you're not getting WCG work either (your other thread). Your client has probably enough on hand with the malaria work. Wait and eventually it will start fetching work from WCG. Probably if you suspend Malaria in the projects tab, it fetches work in a short while.

Check the tasks tab. That will show you whether you are working on WCG or malaria right now.

BOINC will balance the two projects and request work automatically before you run out.
