I want my credits of all projects (WCG and non-WCG) to show up under the same account at BOINCstats. Google told me to use the same email address for all projects, which I failed to to so at the account creation.
I changed my email address at WCG so that it matches my address at the other project (case sensitive). The "BOINC Cross-Project Id" shown at "My Profile" indeed changed - but was still different from the CPID at the other, non-WCG project. I changed it back and got a third unique CPID. I changed the address at the other (non-WCG) project and got even another CPID (but here I can switch back and get the same ID again). After some changes, the WCG CPID doesn't change anymore, regardless of the address. What am I missing here? Just to be sure not to get misunderstood: I'm not talking about merging two computers, two WCG accounts or anything concerning UD. There were several threads about these issues. ![]() |

It's like nature... when a broken bones has been set, time is needed to get it to grow together.... 2 days at least for the patient.

I understand that after the two projects' CPID match it will take some time for the changes to propagate. But here I see different CPIDs in the project settings (which update immediately - at least for the first tries), so I don't understand how the bones could grow together since they can't be considered belonging together.

It doesn't work that way.
Just wait. While you wait, why not read about how it works? http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/CrossProjectId |

OK, now the IDs match and the statistical websites have merged the stats.
Thanks a lot! ![]() |
