Re: Credit calculation affected by old results

All the special rules that keep credit claims from absurd mistakes are working against his new CPU. But after a few days, it should all work well. To handle this special case, we would have to check for a change in CPU type, then have some special code to reset all the historical values as though it were a new computer.

While that would be ideal, it's not an important issue, just an interesting one. If it's a large-quorum WU and my machine claims 58 pts while everyone else claims 80-120, then mine should be ignored as an outlier. If it's a WU with a quorum of 2, due to the way WCG gives out credit, my machine has a high chance of being the one with the most unreliable history, so it'll be ignored again in that case. Only as the claims get closer to what they should be, do they start to influence the group.

Re: Credit calculation affected by old results

Logically when it starts to fall within the boundaries it starts adding into the quorum average again.
