The other day I posted this mess (in another thread) which was an ACH unit in various stages of completion. At that time there were 9 pending and a myriad of "error"s and "no reply"s plus the "in progress" teaser.
Now, after a total of 23 stabs at this particular WU, the pendings have all been changed to "too late". This seems like a lot of wasted effort, especially for those nine that returned seemingly correct results. What gives? |

And just why would you want to continue with ACH after that? It's been a problem child since inception. Their approach from the beginning, and maybe their science, appears to be at least questionable. Well ... crunch on mate. Say hello to the Edwardians!! |

Hello [gunner],
To me this sounds as though the work unit has been pulled for the project scientists to look at. Lawrence |

I set all my Boinc agents to try and snag a WU for AfricanClimate@home, but no luck so far. All seven of them have been idle for a couple of days now, so I'll reset my profile to at least crunch something.
----------------------------------------*edit: Oops, I discovered one of the Boinc computers, a remote server I administer, received four WUs on 31 Mar. The status of one is "inconclusive" and the other three are still "Pending Validation." I guess you probably don't get credit if it's "inconclusive?" ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by USAFA 82 at Apr 2, 2008 4:37:35 PM] |

Hello USAFA 82,
Inconclusive means that you might get full credit. It is defined here: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=6105 Lawrence |

Thank you, lawrencehardin. I just checked again and the status has been changed to Valid... yipeee. So that's 7.04 hours towards the project. If the other three WUs (which are still Pending Validation), that'll be another 21.14 hours towards the project. We need 24 hours to get the badge, correct?

Hello [gunner], To me this sounds as though the work unit has been pulled for the project scientists to look at. Lawrence Thanks for the reply, Lawrence. It's now been reinstated and we're up to 26 members taking a crack at this one. One whacky WU. If these things are so delicate, I may take DM's suggestion. |

It's the same workunit I mentioned in this other thread.
I'm one of the guys that got the error due to missing file. |
