I am going on vacation for 7 days at the end of the week and therefore some of my computers will be off for a week. I noticed that some of the HPF - P2 tasks had a report deadline after I get back from vacation. I decided therefore to suspend these and reduce the back log of those tasks that need reporting before I get back from vacation to minimise the number of tashs that would need aborting once I returned. However, one or more tasks is suspended it appears that no completed tasks are reported and no new tasks will download unless the suspended tasks are resumed. Is this the expected behaviour? I was hoping that everything would continue to run as normal and I could suspend additional tasks with a report deadline after my return but this does not seem to be how things work.

Correct. Suspended jobs add into the buffered/cached work calculation! Better it would have been to set the Additional Buffer / Cache to zero to flush what you have out without fetching new work. The reporting of jobs would have remained normal. They will be send no later than 24 hours after completion and hit the update button before switching off to clear the remaining completed tasks. After set Fetch Work to No and do a project reset to return the unfinished and Fetch new when you're back. Your quorum partners will appreciate that.
