I'm using VistaPro SP1 Ultimate and World Community Grid - BOINC Client Ver 5.10.45. When I boot up my computer The BOINC Client does not startup. I get an icon on the lower toolbar right that says the program is blocked from starting. You then have to start the program manually. How do I set things up so the program is not blocked and it starts up automatically.

I think that that is a Windows Defender issue. There may not be a way to start it yet automatically, even if it is in the startup. It always asks. At least that's what happens in my Vista Ultimate, even with SP1. I didn't have any problem running it in the start path with reboot in Windows XP.
----------------------------------------There may be either a future version of BOINC that addresses this or a future version of Windows Defender that allows it. We also assume that you have set up BOINC in a separate directory, and not part of the standard Vista program path. BOINC as part of the Vista program path causes other security issues.

To autostart BOINC even before logging in, reinstall as a service using an admin account. Once you log in, you can launch BOINCmgr manually when you need/want to see progress, but else it will wholly run by itself.
