Error message question

I just got a bunch of DDDT work units that terminated due to error within about a minute after they started. Here is the error message:

<core_client_version>5.10.30</core_client_version>
<![CDATA[
<message>
WU download error: couldn't get input files:
<file_xfer_error>
<file_name>dddt0501e0255_100425_dddt0501e0255_100425.gpf</file_name>
<error_code>-200</error_code>
</file_xfer_error>

</message>

Re: Error message question

Somewhere read that a negative or positive error code is indicative of a client error or a system one. This code is -200, but not sure if that observation bares relation to this criterium.

Can you post us your Message Start Up log all the way thru where a job starts or restarts

ttyl

PS. Consider upgrading to the official 5.10.45.

Added: The error -200 in the FAQ: http://boincfaq.mundayweb.com/index.php?viewC...4aeff185a7a6bf49294b063a9 is an indication of wrong file sizes?

Re: Error message question

Apparently, it means the file is the wrong size.

Either they failed to download properly, or the work units are malformed.

Is anyone else seeing this error?

Re: Error message question

This was the error message from one of my team member's computers. The computer is not at my location so I cannot go onto their computer directly and look at the mesages, I can only just look through WCG's web site. The software was installed a few weeks ago and has been working without problem until now and no system changes have occurred. I will upgrade he next time I have access to that computer.

Re: Error message question

I just got back from looking at that computer that gave the -200 error. The user said her cable internet connection was acting up all weekend so the problem was something related to properly downloading the workunits, nothing to do with WCG. The current workunit while I was over there was being processed without any problems and was 60% complete. Also while I was over there I upgraded BOINC to the latest version. Thanks for all of your help.
