Re: AC@H near the end -- What is the highest WU you've completed?

I returned WU 27-79 yesterday. I think that is the second to the last WU. I am guessing (without the "completion map" I suggested earlier) that all WUs have been released and only the gaps caused by no replies and errors will cause additional WUs to be sent out. AC@H is nearly done! applause

[BTW, the last two WUs put me over the top for the 14 days, so I have ceased "trying" to get get WUs. biggrin ]

Re: AC@H near the end -- What is the highest WU you've completed?

79 just means column 79 of 82. They (the 820 in the pack) go all out at the same time. If the suffix is higher than xx_09 it means its a makeup/repair job. Check the Result Status page WU detail for the "Send" timestamps and to see the distribution order.

If everyone posts their WU number, I could make a 3D stacked bar chart.... but that is in the hereafter life. I'll watch the project stats for the daily WU's returned for a reasonable accurate guess of a cycle finishes.... or, roll up the sleeves, get e.g. OpenOfficeCalc 2.4 and flex the digits.

I stand corrected; 27-82 would be the highest. I got the 4th to the last (batch of 10).
Sekerob, I have reviewed what little history I can still see in my results stats and have seen evidence that the entire 820 does not go out at the same time. I got WU 21-41-2 after I was already getting WUs in the 24 & 25 cycle. confused

Perhaps the WUs for a particular cell are only dependent on the results of that particular cell and the adjacent cells in the preceeding cycle. My first guess is that is the only data (rather than the entire previous cycle) that each simulation needs to run. The entire project could proceed faster.

From what I have been reading, only the techs would have access to the data that would show completion status of each cell/cycle. If one made a chart just based on information from postings in this forum, it would most certainly be very incomplete.

A statement was made in another thread that WUs remained in the results stats page as long as the files were still needed for incomplete cell WUs. Comparing what WUs are still waiting to be purged may help tell where we stand. I still have 22-69 that was returned on Feb 29 waiting to be purged. [Please forgive me if I don't have all the BOINC terminology correct]

... The depencies are as what retsof describes. Before there was horizontal too i.e. cycle 14 would not start until 13 was complete for all 82 blocks, but that has effectively resulted in little project progress at all. We're now about 8 months in and still the 27x82x10 initial sets are not done.

Are you saying that the dependencies were modified to speed the project up? When did that occur?
There must be someone tracking the progress of this project. Could that person share their information.

The dependencies were set by the scientists that wrote the program before the project even started.

Except for a few nagging pieces coming in from fortnight 27, the first phase is essentially done. Call it 99% as a guess. 74 results came in Friday. 76 on Saturday.

Is La La Land behind Moose Lake? Read the poor animals are befallen by BSE. Anyway that quorum looks impressive. Sometimes a workunit is created and then withdrawn from the distribution cycle before sending. What is the condition in the Result Status page.... 'Other ' maybe (there's no filter for that condition)?

Ah Sek, you've been brushing up on your geography.

Haven't seen much on BSE in the "wild" here yet, but I'm sure we're destined to wreak havoc on all the poor critters eventually.

Just can't seem to find that "other" filter.
Interesting to notice the first nine (but one) of the quorum all are "pending"...and the remaining 11 are "error" or "no reply". It's that elusive 10th effective one we're patiently waiting for.

Latest one I've done is ach1_ 27_ 28_ 3. It was only sent out 31 Mar.
