Frans --
A number of "American" cars are built in or near Windsor, Ontario, just across the border from Detroit, so our North American friend might just be saying "Made in Canada". ![]() |

Rudi the Red Cami(GM/Susuki joint venture) in Ingersoll Ontario, they make the GM Envoy there which is the first vehicle totally designed and engineered in Canada. Ford Talbotville plant which makes the Crown Vic/Grand Marquis (talbotville is near London Ontario) And don't forget the hundreds of auto parts manufacturers in Ontario, one of which I am an employee. There is also a Toyota plant near Cambridge Ontario I believe. And our government just made an announcement with GM to offer them incentives to continue to engineer cars here and to retool their assembly plants which adds up to more high paying jobs in the auto sector in southern Ontario. Don't make me search for statistics! ![]() |

Did you read the posts between Frans's and yours Duby?
Anyways, we finally got our first FM radio station in Canada. And there is this new fangled stuff called Natural Gas coming. Supposedly we can use it to heat our igloos instead of using the traditional whale blubber candles. Also, our government has decide to fund a new form of transportation. It consist of nailing iron beams to wooden beams and then running our horse and buggy on them but we won't need the horse!!! They plan to build this contraption from the east coast to the west coast. They say it will only take 2 months to cross the country this way. Frigging amazing!!! |
