Almost reads like the sum of all ach1_21_82 results run times i.e. the sum of the distributed copies.

I do the following :
----------------------------------------1. Results Status 2. Project Name : AfricanClimate@Home, then I see 4 lines : - ach1_ 21_ 82_ 18-- (valid) - ach1_ 21_ 53_ 4-- (valid) - ach1_ 21_ 58_ 0-- (valid) - ach1_ 21_ 78_ 8-- (valid) I had more before, but all seems to have "disapeared" (too old ?) 3. I click on the first link (ach1_ 21_ 82_ 18--), then I have a pop-up with more lines like that : ach1_ 21_ 82_ 39-- Valid 02/28/2008 20:16:59 02/29/2008 20:07:28 8.24 118.5 / 104.2 When I make the sum of the "Valid" results, I have 82 hours only with the 1st link (ach1_ 21_ 82_ 18--) ... Sekerob, if I understand correctly what you said, those 82 hours are "not really" the same hours that are calculated for the badges ? I'm sorry if I misunderstood something.... ![]() |

The one highlighted with orange background in the result detail is the one you computer processed and adds to your stats. The others are different parts of the workunit quorum completed by different members devices. The 'orange' copy should match to what you see on the Result Status summary page.
----------------------------------------Results are removed about 4 days after award of points and or when quorum is complete. Else the list would get infinite.... we done like 164 million word units so far.

Thank you very much Sekerob, I understood my mistake :)
----------------------------------------I thought that I had a lot of invalid results, but that was not me so everything if ok ^^ I better understand this page now, thank you ^^ One more question and I stop borrying you ^^ : is it "fair" for crunchers that invalid results give only 50% of the total points ? I mean... people calculated the same amount of work unit, they've done the same work than others, and we can't choose to do a valid result or not ... ![]() |

Count your blessings. I think ALL other Distributed Computing projects give Zero credit for invalid.... WCG implemented the 50% rule in Nov.2006 for exactly that reason.... recognition that the effort was made, but what's the use of an invalid result
----------------------------------------Ah ja, HERE the Result Status FAQ. ttyl

One more question and I stop borrying you ^^ : is it "fair" for crunchers that invalid results give only 50% of the total points ? I mean... people calculated the same amount of work unit, they've done the same work than others, and we can't choose to do a valid result or not ... I believe invalid results deserve zero, unless they are caused by bugs in the WCG programs. The main unfairness here is that people with faulty computers get points while those who plod through beta tests, etc, get nothing if the WCG programs fail. |

Valid is important, but to be honest don't know if this badge representation is done each statistics update or a periodic process. It's a first report from my recollection. I'll make the call to our webmaster, nelsoc. Is it that only the time spent for Valid results attribute towards a badge and not the time spent which resulted in an Invalid or Error? |

Cant say with 100% certainty, but have verified that 'invalid' crunch time goes towards the total My Grid Run Time Stats, so it will count is my logic for a badge aggregate. Error Is Error and does not count towards any My Grid stats but the work allocation server that determines if a device is suitable to receive more work.
