You were having error exit code -1073741510 (0xc000013a) (On Windows Vista) as explained in http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=errormess#322

If you are still having the same error, I think that something is causing your laptop to shut down too abruptly. The registry entry might need a larger delay or there may be something special about your laptop.

I suggest 3 steps.

First play with the shutdown delay in the registry setting. Try a manual Exit (and wait) from BOINC before shutting down and see if that works. If so, you have proved that the shutdown is too fast.

Second, try updating BOINC to the latest test version for Vista (currently 5.10.45) at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php
After all, you do not have anything to lose by experimenting. biggrin

Third, tell us what brand and model your laptop is. There may be some peculiarity about the way it shuts down. For that matter, you might give us more information about your preferences. BOINC allows you to change all sorts of defaults. Have you changed any of these settings?

During next days I will try this. If I will receive errors, I'll post here trying the second step tongue
