I just installed the BOINC software about three days ago and I was working on the help conquer cancer thing and I finished the first two with the first three days. Today I got on there and went to advance view cause when I got on this website to check my statistics it said I haven't uploaded anything and when I got in advanced mode and went to transfers and both of the uploads said retry in and the time. So I hit retry now and then it says upload pending I went to messages and it says

Hello Matt2615,
Yoiu are having communication problems. Stay in the Advanced view.and check Activity, etc. to make sure that you have not suspended the network. It gives you the best information about what is going on anyway. Now tell us about your system. OS, antivirus, firewall, internet connection, proxy (if any) and BOINC settings. Are you running BOINC as a service? Lawrence |

I have zone alarm firewall but the weird thing is I haven't been running it for the past couple of days when I tried to upload but when I just opened it and and hit retry now it worked, I figured if the firewall wasn't active the settings wouldn't be active. Thank you for your help.
