The term Bomb Cyclone is being used in major news outletsL Winter ‘Bomb Cyclone’ Slams Northeast, 3K Flights Canceled Violent 'bomb cyclone' wreaks havoc along the East Coast In Colorado, it's a (better be careful here) has been nice. Even a record setter: 41°F (5°C) The preliminary average temperature in Colorado Springs for the past month of December was 33.4 degrees, which is 3.6 degrees above normal. Colorado Springs recorded only 0.01 inches of precipitation through out the month of December. This is 0.33 inches below normal and makes December of 2017 tied with December of 1922 as the 6th driest December on record, just behind a trace of precipitation recorded through out December of 1995, 1970, 1931, 1917 and 1907. Colorado Springs recorded 0.9 inches of snow through out the month of December, which is 4.8 inches below normal. Colorado Springs has recorded 2.5 inches of snow through the 2017-18 Season thus far, which is 11.0 inches below normal to date. Colorado Springs set 1 new record high temperature through out the month of December. Other than that, it was kinda eerie seeing our Team out-stat some really huge Teams (and Countries). I better not eloborate on that. Our 'quiet posts' suit us well. Better to be quiet than verbose.
