How do team :) greetings from a cold, wet and dismal UK, just thought i'd drop by and say hi to all. Things ain't much better on this side of the pond, last night I had to tow my tractor out of solid ice. Hope everyone is well, nothing much new to report from over here, tiny hardware addition in the form of a gigbyte brix quad core celeron, ultra small thing, not much bigger than a 2.5" hardrive and 3 inches (ish) deep, does about 35 results/13k points per day so not earth shattering but they were giving them away at work so gift horse and all that. Yes free is nice! The last few days I have added some older laptops to my mix and I am trying Antergos, an Arch linux distro on them. I like it a lot. I have been preferring Lubuntu lately because I don't need all the extra stuff many newer distros include, all I need it to do is crunch, not look pretty or have every gadget a user wants. But Antergos may become my preference now. It is a slim base install with your choice of desktop. Still waiting for that lottery win........ Aren't we all..   |
