Re: Team Andrax, The Geat International Team!

I am quite sure that all/most of you have heard the expression "He/She is now in a much better place" and probably thought that was true. Yesterday early morning, I knew that it was definitely true when I saw the peaceful and angelic face of my Mother resting in eternal sleep. Her extradinary pain was gone. Moments later, an Angel took her away.

Re: Team Andrax, The Geat International Team!

anhhai, Tommunich and littlemiss ...

Thank you all for your very kind posts and support. I have a question to ask, for anyone who can answer them. I have very little knowledge concerning Wifi and stated computers listed below.

I want to give my Sister a computer (a notebook, a laptop, etc.) for all that she has done for taking care of my Mother all of this time as being the main "Care Giver" for my Mother. Her two Sisters all have computers. It is time for her to have one as well.

This would be her first computer. What I think she would want one for:

1. We have an extensive photo album of our Family, and it would be great for her to show these Family pics to Family and Friends.

2. She is very interested in sharing emails with Family Members.

3. Something with a camcorder so she can send to her Sisters pics of the flower garden that she has so ardently grown for our Mother, or just pics of her to trade between them.

Basic stuff, really. I will get her one of those 'All-In One' printers that can scan, etc.

I feel like Homer Simpson in this matter. biggrin

I want the best for her. I'll pay for the high-speed connections of course. Not sure which plan is best (I'll get her at least a two year contract).

A special cookie for anyone who can help me. biggrin

My Sister deserves this and much more.

PS: Our small, yet great Team took no names this evening. We just simply went medieval and raided many Team's pantries and ale supplies. LOL!

Re: Team Andrax, The Geat International Team!

JC,
Very sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a parent is something you never really get over, and I have found that a person just learns to cope with for the rest of your life, IMHO of course. I lost both my parents over 22 years ago and a day does not go by where I do not think about them.

Now, onto the computer;

I vote for a 15.4" Mac laptop. Their long term legion of fans are very fanatical about image and color quality, they are far easier to maintain than Windows (I have Windows, Macs, and Linux at home), and are easier to use. The one concern is making sure the camcorder is compatible with the Mac. Plus, iLife comes preloaded and is very useful for photos and simple movie editing that is ready to go out of the box.

Good luck to you and your family during this trying time.

Ray

Totally agreed!
I am a windows user, but i suggessted all my friends who always came to me and asked why something did not work on their computer, to buy a mac next time. They are all happy with that, and don't complain no more...
