Our small, yet very dedicated Team has surpassed a very important milestone: 250 Years of Total Run Time. Major Congratulations to every one of you! That certainly is awesome!  There are now 22,957 crunching Teams at the WCG and our Team out-crunched 22,891 of them in Points Generated and outcrunched 22,888 of them in Results Returned (we were 66th in Points Generated and 69th in Results Returned). That is simply awesome.  Tommunich, Major Congrats for exceeding 140,000 (Boinc) Total Credit! Should these Boinc "points" be still somewhat new to you, that is around 980,000 UD Points (which you do have). The conversion of UD points to Boinc points should make it very interesting because many Team Mates here will get credit for using the old UD client soon. Talk about UD Points, our Team has 24 Members with at least One Million Points Generated. The Lazy Slug has over 27 Million UD points and Dick_Dastardly has over 26 Million UD points! Hey everyone! Glad to see such a strong team over here!
I have been doing a battle of the cores, Intel vs AMD in real-life crunching, and the results are certainly in: -I clocked an AMD Phenom II X2 550 at 3.6ghz and an Intel Core 2 Duo at 3.6ghz, and have been letting them slug it out for the past couple of weeks. Despite the AMD having a two day head start and faster RAM, the Core 2 system has taken the lead: Phenom: 0:013:12:13:39 47,466 66 Core 2 : 0:013:13:22:18 59,506 83 So there you have it, let your next crunch machine be Core 2 Quad or Core i7. |

And yes, we raided so many other Team's pantries and also took all of their mead as well. LOL! I recently switched over to CEP and I don't seem to get as many points per day with these workunits. Maybe it's the delay in validation or something. I'm going to stick with it until they run out. I shooting for emerald. I think sapphire is out of the question for me. My average per day was better with HFCC.
