Re: .

I just took a look ...

Sehr schön! biggrin

Are you german?

Was it the German umlaut that made you guess that? Or the fact that I read "Also sprach Zarathustra" by Friedrich Nietzsche in German? biggrin

My Family history goes back more than 300 years. 500 years if I believe another Ancestor website.

First theory was that my ancestors "followed" The Prince of Orange when he defeated the Catholic King Charles (well, his wife was Catholic, yet most people do not know that).

Most credible documents suggest that my ancestors came from a German speaking canton (Bern, that was in the region that was then called the Swiss Confederation).

Johannes came to America before the 'Revolutionary War' against King George III. I guess 'rebellion' is in my Family's blood because his son fought for George Washington. LOL! There are cemeteries named after his son here in America. To make it even worse, during the "Civil War" here, there are cemeteries filled with Family Members who fought for both sides. Now that is sad. A War Against Brothers ...
/sighs

I did live in Germany when my Father was posted there years ago. Of course, I took German language and history courses. I forgot most of my German and Spanish by now. I was very good at German (at the time) because I knew a German Lady that I passed notes to in school. A lot of notes. devilish

I attended the American School in Frankfurt (am Main). Yes, our 'sports chant' was "Eagles Uber Alles!

And yes, as a Teen, every day was Oktoberfest. biggrin

By the way, I also like Dutch beer. Here is one for you:

If you cannot read the label that clearly, you must be looking at something else. biggrin

Re: .

That's interesting. The only thing we know about our ancestors is, that they were peasants in Transsilvania in the 19th century.

Maybe that's the reason for my passion in counting things.
A beer for anyone who can resolve this... biggrin

Hmmm ... counting things and Transylvania. I better be careful here. devilish

I do know some people who like to count (pun intended) things as well. I think I know the answer. Well, maybe. biggrin

Tommunich , quite the performance in your first day with us! And I also notice that you have easily exceeded 135,000 (Boinc) Total Credit!

Team Mates, a truly outstanding day of crunching research stats. We have exceeded 166 Million Points Generated and have now returned over 458,000 results to research scientists.

In just several hours, we will surpass a rather major milestone; 250 Years of Total Run Time.

There are now 22,952 crunching Teams at the WCG and our Team out-crunched 22,892 of them in Points Generated and outcrunched 22,890 of them in Results Returned (we were 60th in Points Generated and 62nd in Results Returned). That is simply awesome.

7/23/09

Team Stats
Total Run Time (Rank) 249:293:01:09:30 (#91)
Points Generated (Rank) 166,101,825 (#72)
Results Returned (Rank) 458,476 (#63)

Daily Team Stats from last refresh:
Total Run Time --- Points Generated --- Results Returned
0:115:15:13:41 --- 306,615 --- 546

(The following stats may be a tad off as I use "average" daily Total Credit. Sorry if I "jumped the gun" or omitted anyone)

Congratulations to:

Milestones Yesterday:

The Lazy Slug for passing 3,765,000 Total Credit (any moment now).
Dick_Dastardly for passing 3,210,000 Total Credit (any hour now).
WildWilber for passing 2,975,000 Total Credit (any hour now).
Doneske for passing 2,890,000 Total Credit.
Killer Tomato for passing 2,615,000 Total Credit (any hour now).
ethelred1 for passing 990,000 Total Credit (any moment now).
Tommunich for passing 135,000 Total Credit (easily).
take2hikes for passing 85,350 Total Credit.
sevenveils for passing 22,975 Total Credit.
VVebbie for passing 13,650 Total Credit.
Ellios for passing 11,750 Total Credit (any hour now).

jbking, Master C and other Team Mates to pass milestones any day now.

Tommunich in the Top Ten for pie! Yet another crazy and close finish. WildWilber by a seed or two. This time, Killer Tomato and Doneske must have checked their email more than WildWilber. LOL!

(as you all know, the "Team Rank" stat in the graphic below are incorrect after Killer Tomato by at least one because of "Retirements" and so forth. Also, these graphic charts will only be listed for 7 days or so because of ISP limitations. We'll see ... )

Tommunich, those are Boinc Points (Total Credit). WCG still uses the older UD points until they are all converted to Boinc. You have over 967,000 UD points. Boinc points is roughly divided by 7 as UD points go. You divide 967,000 by 7 and you have roughly 138,000 Boinc Points.

Since all Teams here use the Boinc client, most of them use Boinc points for individual stats from places such like

http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=team&...m=5567&sort=yesterday

This is sorted using "Yesterday" stats. And this also is the correct way to get the correct update from the WCG.

So, for now, we use UD points for Team Stats and Boinc (Points) Total Credit for Individual (Team Mate) stats.

The quicker that all Teams use Boinc points now, the less they will be confused once the full conversion begins (from UD points to Boinc "points".

How to create new Stat bar for your DC stats ...

DC Stat

Go to "Create new Stat bar"

Check on all DC projects that you have crunched for (cool for those who used to crunch for UD.org or any DC project and now crunches at the WCG or anywhere else).

Then you have options for several things including text. You can choose Boinc or UD points.

Just a simple one for mine using the older UD points

No, i am a step further, but no. Anyway, it matters to help, not to be the first in a stat.

But: loving to count, and having to divide everthing / 7: oo
