I am being urged to change to the bionic software but when I down loaded it originaly it was very unstable, did not record the processing time in full and often many hours of processining time were lost when my PC was turned off. I have not had any problems with the UD software. Has anybody had similar difficulties and have they been overcome?

UD has problems, too - the difference is UD doesn't report them, so you never know about them.
The science application (AutoDock for FightAIDS@Home) is the same for BOINC and UD, so you should get exactly the same performance. However, BOINC is more strict in its accounting of time, so you may see a decrease in the time recorded. Be aware, though, that UD over reported the time, since it didn't take into account the time when no work was being done. You only have a few months left to migrate to BOINC, so giving it another try now would be a good move. Please ask as many further questions as you need - we are here to help. |

That is because you downloaded the Bionic software.....most of us download the Boinc software which is much better! ![]() |

No kidding but BOINC has bionic powers by comparison.... on an 32 core computer it can 32 jobs simultaneous, where UD can do only 1. Think there's a monster that has 96 cores all bionicized.
