I can't believe it's been 5 years!
Can it actually take 5 years to come up with a 64 bit java plug-in?!?!? http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4802695 |

Here is the latest announcement on the 64 bit browser plugin from Sun...
We have not only commit this RFE to JRE 7, but also JRE 6 update release. The date for JRE 6 update release which has this 64bit JRE support will be early 2009. Posted Date : 2008-04-09 16:57:04.0 over 5 years...and counting. what a joke ![]() |

On a different note, read yesterday that IBM has a Mac Pilot going. Their lab-scientists want them it seems and they are happier. I've been in PC support for years and had to support macs back when they were using OS 7, 8 and 9. I HATED those OS's. They were crap. When OS 10.3 came out I could not believe how nice and stable it was, without the spyware and virus problems! In my opinion, being a PC support guy, I rather support mac now (or linux) then windows. |
