Amit,
----------------------------------------would you please describe exactly what you do after opening the 'Select Computer' dialog. There are like 5 different ways to successfully connect from the BOINC manager to the BOINC client, the most common to let the fields just blank and hitting OK. I'm assuming that with BOINC.exe visible in the task manager, there are also 1 or more processes starting with a name like WCG_xxxxxx_windows_intelx86 running and clocking up CPU time. And yes, the drop down list will be initially blank until you've made a connection. ttyl

Hmm. The "Advanced" tab is spectacularly useless, isn't it? Can you tell us what the buttons on that tab show?
