Karlsson --

Does your friend's system meet the minimum requirements? They are posted elsewhere on the web site, but I copied them below:

Recommended minimum system specifications:
1) Intel Pentiumâ„¢ processor or equivalent
2) At least 128 MB RAM (with virtual memory enabled)
3) 600 MB Hard Disk Drive with at least 50 MB available for use
4) The ability to display 8-bit graphics at 800x600 resolution
5) An Internet connection with minimum 40 kb speed
6) Operating System: Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP

Re: Unable to Process

The system its p4 mobile, I dont know the exact amount of ram, but I assume its more than 128 mb, its not a a64 but it had this problem https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=1656

that seems taken care of. He changed the virtual mem till 700-1500 mb

Re: Unable to Process

Sorry, I didnt explain well, at first, there was a problem that said to check this post on the forum: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=1656

we did it, and the message didnt appear any more, the one that sent us to that links post.

After that, is when we have the Unable problem that is still going on. :(

confused Unable to Process Task Data - Backing Off

I am unfamiliar with 'Unable to Process Task Data - Backing Off'. Has anybody ever gotten this message? If nobody has any ideas, then use a 'Contact Us' problem report Monday morning. Seattle, Washington, USA is -8 hours UTC.

Re: Unable to Process

Yes I get this problem on my sons PC It seems to be the same problem for the UD agent (now grid.org) and no one seems to be bothered fixing it.

System spec is :
Compaq Presario
AMD Athalon XP 1800+ CPU (1.53 GHz)
512MB memory
720-1440MB page file
80GB hard disk (36GB free)

All my other systems are Intel and they work well. My other son has a P4-1.7GHz with less memory and an almost identical system build and it works with no problems.

biggrin Re: Unable to Process

Hi Rod
Welcome to the Grid Forums!
I run Only AMD on this project so I doubt that it is an
issue if AMD vs INTEL.
Please keep looking so we all can learn!
Post back so we know your progress.

Silly Blob.

confused Re: Unable to Process

I assume that you sent in a 'Contact Us' email reporting this problem. What antivirus software are you using? What firewall? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the system?
