Re: What should I do if I want to reinstall my PC.

I have never done it but I have read that you copy off everything in the directory where it is stored. Put that on a CD or another hard drive or .... wherever. Then your do your format thing and get back up. Once you are back up, copy the entire directory back to where it was (C: I assume). Then you put a new entry in your start>programs>startup for the ud.exe. You do this by using windows explorer finding the ud.exe, rightclick&hold it down and drag it into the start>programs>startup and when you drop it there select "copy here". That should do it.

cool Re: What should I do if I want to reinstall my PC.

Well adding to RT, I was the one who did that. A more detailed explanation on how you should do it is by the following.
1) Exit out of WCG
2) Copy the directory to somewhere you will back it up to
3) Reinstall Windows XP, install programs, restore all backed up stuff
4) For WCG, make sure you FIRST install WCG as if you were about to install it for the first time
5) Then, when it's installed, it asks for a login. Exit out of that (as in you never log in (muy importante)
6) Then, restore the whole directory of WCG from the backup
7) When you start up WCG, u should see that the agent picks up exactly where you left off, u don't have to make a new device or anything, and it's as if nothing has ever changed.
I hope this rough guide will help you if you wish to attempt this operatiion (highly suggested)... it saves a lot of trouble... yep. wink biggrin cool

Re: What should I do if I want to reinstall my PC.

Yes, I am sure about the right-click-and-hold-it-down-and drag it....I am working with XP and as far as I can rember it is the same with the older windows OSs.

I bet jujaga has the correct procedure. I advise you to follow what he said. I suppose that if you follow his instructions, it will have already put the ud.exe in the startup folder so you will not need to drag and drop as I explained...still it is a good trick to know.
smile

Kind Regards to all.

Re: Your Banner

Thank you for taking the liberty of making logos for Team Modulus, but I don't think I can use it because firstly, my name isn't "jujuga", it's jujaga... small typo, but also, for copyright infringement issues and stuff (after all, you didn't get explict allowance to use those logos), I do not want to get into that kind of the trouble, however, I really appreciate the kindness of which you have bestowed... I hope you understand the dillema... I am currently creating a banner... I will be working on it for a while...

Ok, I got the banners created, for myself and my other team member, Disko. Now, a new dillema arrises, where to host. The name did come from a gaming clan, and it is a gaming clan of which has 2 divisions, RB/RBT division and TM division, so I need to find a place (hosting service) that will be able to have 2 web pages (for the divisions) 1 for dedication to WCG (duh) and perhaps a few extra ones for expansion... hmmm... I will attenpt to figure out where to go from here on... that's the update from me (just for your information, I lead a gaming clan called "Clan Modulus", and I decided to transfer the name here, as you have probably noticed... wink ) biggrin

#-o] Sorry abut the spelling Jujaga.
WCG.cc can host your Sig Banners, and Plenty of space to host your
pages too. (If you don't mind Emailing them to me.)
That is why I'm here.
