No Graphics In Screen Saver
I upgraded my WCG agent to BOINC program and now I don't get graphics displayed on my screen saver, just the BOINC logo and a description stating that the program is running and what percentage is done.
I checked the BOINC manager and both projects I am attached to (FAAH & Rosetta) have graphics available, but they don't show up. I loaded the program on my laptop and work computers and everything shows up just fine there. Is there a setting I can change to display graphics with the screen saver?
Any help would be great!

Hi,

Is your screensaver password-protected? There is a known issue with the graphics display when the screensaver is password-protected.

Service installs also do not display the graphics without a workaround . Installing as a service is the way to get password protected screensavers working as well.

Hopefully these problems will all go away when BOINC 6 comes out lateR this year. Graphics are a source of problems in the present construct to include that I think HPF2 on Linux still runs without, due to it being responsible for the science crashing.

My home PC/laptop don't have a passworded screen saver, but my work one does, which the screen saver graphics come up on.
I tried the workaround but I don't have BOINC (or anything associated with it that I can see) in my services. Does it matter that I am running Vista Ultimate?

Yes, it positively does not work on Vista until release 6 comes out. Vista itself has quite a different graphics assembly.
