2008-02-13 11:38:22||Memory: 254.42 MB physical, 425.38 MB virtual Even though the Windows swap file is almost 2x the memory, I wonder whether it is enough in this memory constrained case.My smallest BOINC machine has 512Mb, and 4x for a swap file. 2/13/2008 1:25:18 PM||Memory: 511.23 MB physical, 1.97 GB virtual A few with 128Mb have gotten them working by assigning a massive 12x to 16x multiple to get a 1.5Gb to 2.0Gb swap file.

Something else...
----------------------------------------Could you please check in your active device profile on the website, in section "Basic Options", that the times are all at 12 AM. Unless you have skipped some lines in the log that you have posted, I am surprised that Boinc waits 2 hours and 25 minutes after completing its initialisation before requesting work... ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by JmBoullier at Feb 14, 2008 12:33:29 AM] |

Wasn't he already resuming this one immediately after the restart? There might have been no inclination for BOINC to get more work until later. It only wanted 199 seconds worth by then.

Oh yes! Sorry, I have missed the "Restarting task..." line!
---------------------------------------- It is OK for the time of the log. But still I think that would not hurt to make sure that those PCs are not allowed to rest or forbidden to connect at any other time of the day. Simply to clearly eliminate one more possible reason for not reporting the expected runtime. |
