how to find a team thread?

I am the (somewhat) new captain of my team. I'm wondering if there is a way to find if there is an existing team thread in the teams forum. I am either search-impaired, or there isn't a thread for my team. Is there a way to search by team? Suggestions?
Thanks!

Added 2/3/2008: Sorry, should have mentioned the team name: Penn State Alumni. Thanks for all your comments!

Re: how to find a team thread?

Does your team have a name?

I don't recall seeing any Penn State stuff recently. You will only find something by team name if somebody put it in a message. More than likely you can start a thread in the team area. If anyone finds another we can ask to have one of the threads locked.

Re: how to find a team thread?

The Google Toolbar has a 'search only on the current Web site' option. This lets me search through all the web site using reasonable search terms.

Searching for 'Penn State' gives the following Team pages:
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=LF5XNJBR9N1
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=7R5XNJBR9N1

Re: how to find a team thread?

A thought: A field in the Team page where the team captain can enter the link to the Team Forum thread. Team Stats already allows easy searching on partial names. But, if the next forum software allows to search specifically on post titles only it would be a superfluous effort.

Added: For teams that don't have their own home page, it could already be entered in that field or?

Re: how to find a team thread?

up to a point ... after many messages slow down the thread, it is locked and a new team thread started. The link would then need to be changed by the captain.

It does seem to be a good idea to give a team thread a better identity...starting at the team page.

We still don't know the name of the team, though, in this case.
