Yo Keith, we should enter this challenge - Shinigami Cup . Even though we'd be starting two weeks late, we would rapidly jump up the ranks to finish in either 2nd or 3rd despite our late entry. Hmm, I didn't think you could join a challenge after it's started...... Edit: Nope, no Join button. Hehe.. You do realize I'm only crunching on one computer? My other one has been down.  Uh oh, I thought you just had to unclock it a bit. Shh.. Don't talk about college.  Double UH OH! Imagine this.. I help research Cancer and AIDS on my resume.  I wonder what people would say...Depends on how you word it. "I help research Cancer and AIDS" says one thing. "I help research Cancer and AIDS thru grid computing on machines I designed and built myself" says something entirely different, particularly if the audience is the engineering or CS department at a university.  |

I can underclock it a bit.. I can't figure out the problem. It seems to not like my new RAM.. Hm.. Thinking thinking. I'm just sick of doing all the scholorship stuff. Nothing bad. I wrote on my profile packet for Other activites as a reference for letter of recommendations: World Community Grid contributor (Current; 550+ days of runtime) I have taken a positive step with dedicated effort towards the creation of computer systems to help contribute research for World Community Grid. “World Community Grid's mission is to create the world's largest public computing grid to tackle projects that benefit humanity. Our work has developed the technical infrastructure that serves as the grid's foundation for scientific research. Our success depends upon individuals collectively contributing their unused computer time to change the world for the better.” Everyone can participate by donating their idle computer time to help advance the research of the diseases the world faces today. I know that every single added effort is a plus for humanity and I strive to do everything I can to help. A cure isn’t found by one person, but by the cooperation of many with every little help making a difference. My current projects include research for AIDS and cancer with computers running 24/7. Can I word it in a better way? I did it at like 1 AM.  |
