Re: . . .

Evening all

With Den's lot closed down for the time being, that's a remarkable result Captain. We must tell him to take more holiday.

Rain kept off until this afternoon so the sun shines sometimes on the wicked as I went off for the weekly walk to Sainsbury's.

Our 'Village' gardening morning tomorrow and everyone also getting organized to protest about the closing of our Post Office.

Re: . . .

Morning everyone.
I think Den is away for another week yet. Alright for the idle rich aint it?
I might get a few days in the back garden during the summer, weeding most likely wink
Was planning to go to whitby on monday for some fish and chips, but looking at the gales blowing outside, I am not so sure. The house next door, which is empty. lost a load of roof tiles during the night, but mine seems intact! biggrin

Re: . . .

All these records - is Owlie on a building spree again. He is the Quad champion. It took me some time to climb to the heights of a Dual.

Anyway the sun shone today as we did our routine gardening and then went on to trying to remove some of the graffiti; one of the problems of living in the city.

Re: . . .

Should now just add that I received a reminder of why we are all here. A close friend of Mrs Blanco rang to say that she had just survived surgery for her secondary cancer when the prognosis was 90 percent against.
Now she has to face the intensive chemo for the primary.
And she can still joke. She told us that when she came to, the first thing she said to the nurse was 'am I dead'. She commented that 'how was I supposed to know what it was like if I had died.'
