Made choice about contesting Full Marathon's a few years ago I may be considered to be a little crazy but that is beyond common sense Have Walked the distance in the hills the Three Peaks Of Yorkshire....... http://www.go4awalk.com/longpaths/yorkshire3peaks.php Have actually completed it three times Reward a cloth badge Impressive indeed. Let us know your time on that marathon and good luck with it. If all goes well then I will be running the half marathon in Lissabon in September with a lot of colleagues. Don't even want to think about a full marathon though, way too much. ![]() |

Morning all
----------------------------------------To avoid any more misunderstanding I have never Ran a Marathon nor intend to do so I have walked the three peaks 3 Times see my link my time's were around the 8 hours you clock in on a time clock at a cafe in Horton in Ribblesdale this partly for your own satisfaction and most of all as a safeguard in case you become lost or delayed If you chose to retire early you are required to report back that you are safe so they don't alert rescue services. There is nothing official you just turn up and walk. http://www.go4awalk.com/longpaths/yorkshire3peaks.php PS Welcome back Peter saw you had turned in some results good to have you back BT better the divil you know etc etc ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by densnaps at Apr 14, 2008 7:27:40 AM] |

Spent some time in Hull today. No 2 Son bought new car, and took dad with him. Weather was ok until half way back when we encountered sleet! (Whatever happened to global warming??) Am safely back indoors now with central heating back on!
René, thanks for the sixties memories! Loved the juke boxes! I was in my twenties in those far off days, and loved it! |

BT better the divil you know etc etc Exactly! Thanks for all the Welcome backs. Yes, it is only a month until my next day trip. Went on a spending spree (on the internet) yesterday and bought a new camera to take with me. Would have liked an SLR, but ended up buying a very nice compact model, which I could put in my pocket. Am eagerly awaiting delivery ![]() |
