Hi every body,
----------------------------------------I have a problem with Boinc. Every time i shutdown my PC, the units that were running finish in error and when i restart my PC, the four next units start. When it is small units, i don't loose a lot of work but when it's big units, i can loose lot of hours. I'm modo on France web site forum and i can tell you that i am not alone having that problem. This problem seems to occur only with windows vista. I installed the latest version (5.10.30) of Boinc but this doies not fix the problem. An other thing, when i stop Boinc and i restart it, it restart the units it was processing without any lost unit. This occur only when i shutdown my pc and i forgot to stop Boinc before. |

Yes, it's a known issue with Vista and a long FAQ in the Start Here forum provides some work arounds.
----------------------------------------That said, BOINC beta version 5.10.35 is out and have installed that as service and tried different shut-down scenarios. It looks like it has overcome the problem, finally.

Thanks a lot for your so quick answer.
----------------------------------------I will wait for a new version of Boinc that will fix the problem. And i will try to not forget stopping Boinc before i shut down my PC. |
