Download/upload issues when running P2P download software

Not sure if anyone else has this problem, but when running the Bitcomet P2P file share software I am unable to upload/download workunits.

Not sure if it is a bandwidth issue, but closing Bitcomet and restarting Bionc resolves the issue, until I restart Bitcomet.

Has anyone else has this issue. I have had this issue for sometime now and it affects all versions of Bionc and Bitcomet.

My connection is 2 megabit download, with 512 Kbps upload, and this affects all projects.

Re: Download/upload issues when running P2P download software

Could be port conflicts. Think you can set Bittorent ports. BOINC uses port 31416 and another random port in the range of 1000-5000 (as assigned by the OS), on a perpetual basis. Also port 443 and 80 need to be available to BOINC on an outward bound basis to WCG.

Finally, if you are using P2P IP filter updates from e.g. Bluetack or PeerGuardian2 it could be that IBM all range IPs are knocked out. The 129.33.89.133+134 need to be exempt. This issue has been reported on these fora multiple times. Share your actual message log excerpt for our perusing.

Now that you posted that, the RIAA might be on your heels, legit or not (on their part) shock

Re: Download/upload issues when running P2P download software

It's the upload that is limiting you. Restrict your torrent uploading, or BOINC won't be able to return results. It reduces your download ability, too, but uploading will be totally wiped out.
