I have no noticeable problem so far. According to Device Statistics I have returned one this morning and the next one has already reached 21 % after more than 4 hours running. That looks normal for this agent in my machine (it is throttled at 25 % only).
----------------------------------------Have you tried to exit and restart it when it fails like this? Not sure that will help but at least we would be sure it is not in a "damaged" status. |

Hmmm... I see the weekend goblins migrated here as well.
Are we out of work for the HPF2 on the UD agents again? |

It might be a good time to try BOINC again.
WCG have now set a firm (internal) target date for completing the migration. I for one would appreciate it if you, as a long time UD user, helped encourage the remaining UD users to migrate before they are rudely forced to switch or quit. |

It might be a good time to try BOINC again. I for one would appreciate it if you, as a long time UD user, helped encourage the remaining UD users to migrate before they are rudely forced to switch or quit. Is it for me? I hope not. After the many discussions where I said - that UD and Boinc can coexist rather well on a HT processor and why (in my opinion) - the evaluation of crunching activity by run time is meaningless nowadays for example, and from my results and comments with Boinc I would think that you knew I am running Boinc full speed and keep a UD agent at 25% only for the runtime and the extra points and for being able to see what happens to UD crunchers (we still have After all who would have noticed the HPF2 shortage in UD if I had not run my low-profile UD? Edit: 20 % is the average percentage of UD points in our daily production. And there are only 25 % of our "active" members visible in BoincStats. But unfortunately it is impossible to know how many members are still really running UD exclusively because hundreds of members in our large team (2202 active members) have never returned one single result (550) or are no longer doing it (???). But we cannot know any number in this grey area without team information at daily level. Cheers. I repeat my question:

I'm just not ready to make a commitment! I like see others! I don't want to settle down! All joking aside, I run both. I realize the Agent is being phased out, so for me, it won't be a rude awakening. Why on earth, I hear you asking, am I still running the Agent? Laziness, it's just pure laziness on my part. It is easier for me to switch between HCC and HPF2. I run BOINC doing HCC during the week and the Agent doing HPF2 on the weekends. UD Monitor spoiled me. I'm used to being able to choose which cache slots I wanted to enable/disable. Each cache slot had its own Device Profile. Once the Agent is gone, each-and-every-weekend I'll have to go into BOINC's Device Profile and do a 'work around' to just be able to run which projects I want, on the days that I want. But in the meantime, I'll go the easy route (shut down BOINC; start up the Agent) -- while it's still available to me. Like I said, it's pure laziness. |

Alternate, and no workaround as it's existing functionality, if you run BOINC with short connect time like 0.01 days and zero cache buffer, you can hot swap the profile it's attached to. Assign HPF2 to the Home profile and HCC to the Work and change the attached profile on website on Friday and Back on Monday, wherever you are near a computer. The current unit finishes and will start with a fresh from another project, the moment the client contacts the

The bells or beeps you proposed at checkpoints reminded me of the Pavlov effect (the beast would go nuts near an octacore). Each time you swap agent you're bound to loose crunching time and need for hovering in Audial vicinity of the PC. Now you can do it any time you like without a second of processing loss
