Installing on SuSE 10.3 - shutdown resets work progress

Hello all,

I have replaced my linux computer and reinstalled WCG software. I use a command line command to restart WCG each time Linux is restarted. But the work is lost and reset to start again.

What have I done wrong? Can someone tell me how to properly install WCG so that the work is not lost on re-boot?

Many thanks,

Mark

Hello Mark Heseltine,
Have you read the most recent SuSE thread at https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=17764 ?

Morning, Lawrence,

Thanks for the pointer. I'll try those steps tonight and see what happens.

Many thanks,

Re: Installing on SuSE 10.3 - shutdown resets work progress

Hello, Lawrence,

I have started a new thread - more clearly directed than is this thread. I have tried to reinstall using every suggestion out there. I have failed. Am very frustrated. So, need some hand-holding. If you have any suggestions I would be grateful.

Many thanks,

Mark
