I have a fresh install of Windows XP SP2 with all the security patches (but still running IE 6). I have just recently installed the BOINC agent, and now it's been up over 24 hours and just keeps saying "waiting to contact project servers".
I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I've disabled the Windows firewall and the McAfee anti-virus. I have two other computers in a similar config that have been running fine. Any suggestions? |

I think I fixed it!
 I went to the "Advanced View". Chose the Projects tab, highlighted the World Community Grid project, and then hit the Update button. It connected and downloaded a bunch of stuff, and I am now Discovering Dengue drugs even as I write this. Thanks for the help! |
