Happy birthday in this birthday season, David. I have spent this afternoon visiting my cousin's granddaughter, who turned 7 yesterday. Her best friend stayed with her last night after the party. Today I talked her father into getting a new computer to replace his old one and putting it into the open downstairs rather than locked in his over the garage office. DSL became available in his area a few weeks ago, so he will probably switch to that. Now I have to check out Best Buy for suggestions. She already spends 45 minutes a week on a computer at school. Once I get it set up, I think we will have a new member for the WCG.

 Thanks for all your good wishes I've only just seen this thread and I don't know what to say. Feb 6th must be a good birthday for top team captains, thanks Ripcat. My 2 daughter call me "The Old Fart" in an affectionate way and I think they might have a point now. Got less than a year now until life begins. Keep those CPU's glowing and fans blowing for WCG. This is turning into a great place to be. I now have friends right around the world, you just don't get that with a real supercomputer. Tonight's going to be a good night for the stats we should have plenty to celebrate. Happy Crunching Dave  |
