Hi, I recently upgraded my BOINC version to 5.10.30 and have noticed on my laptop now that when I close the lid and leave it for a while the WUs suspend themselves and start up again when I open the lid. This didn't happen before the upgrade (I don't remember which version I had before).

Yeah, i've got that set to do nothing when the lid is closed, the problem just came up with the upgrade though.

If it happens after 20 minutes it's the BOINC idle-suspend feature added from version 5.10.22

Hello jojorules,
It sounds as though the older BOINC versions incorrectly overrode your laptop settings. Another bug squashed! Now BOINC respects your laptop settings to stop running when the laptop is closed. Lawrence |
