What ever your fancy tickles. You probably don't boot so frequent.
----------------------------------------At any rate, the latest addition is going OFF after the X-mas challenge when I'm OFF, to bed. My e-bill hiked 100 Euro (147 USD) right in the 2 month period where no Airco is required.... I'm good, but Rothschild is no relative of mine. ttyl

The service install has other benefits, primarily better security.

The service install has other benefits, primarily better security. How do you mean? You are implying that the security of the 'normal' version is not good? |

Debs, run BOINC, go to task manager and end process Boincmgr.exe (no others). Boinc keep running and gets and returns WU but ZA does not flash. ZA is on an old Win98 machine here. The flashing is Boincmgr talking to Boinc on the local network (inside the computer). If it's not flashing, it's not responding, and I have to restart BOINC. The Win98 machine will be replaced when the new AMD X2 6400+ Black Edition gets a hard drive and some memory. The WinXP machines are using WinFirewall (I wonder how great or not-so-great it is?) Speaking of what happened to...I made a color palette from a classic picture from that period with a meteor shield and THAT insignia. http://www.colourlovers.com/palette/209707/Foiled_Again

The WinFirewall is cheese of the Swiss type and on top only is able to look at incoming traffic. Once infected by something and it's party time and all your financial info can leave your PC without you knowing.

http://www.computergripes.com/ZoneAlarm.html
----------------------------------------Zone Alarm 7 doesn't seem to find Kaspersky anti-virus. Most versions of Kaspersky don't like BOINC either. Oh well. I'll stay with AVG which is BOINC compatible. Here's Zone Alarm choice of download page: http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/catalo...Family/trial_zaFamily.jsp Speaking of links, where's that Slow and Never Finished Railway? The last time I looked several years ago, it was running under Neuschwanstein in Z-Gauge. I find another configuration also interesting: Nn3 (N scale 3 foot narrow gauge) runs on Z-gauge track. The rolling stock would be a little easier to see.

Some of the model RR clubs here do standardized straight and curved short "modules" which can be quickly set up at a temporary location as a large layout.

All the layouts breakdown into section to enable transportation to exhibitions etc. I am taking my camera tonight to take a lot more shots so that they can be added to the website....
