Hi,
----------------------------------------I am trying to get boinc running under Debian Etch x86_64. So I downloaded "boinc_5.10.21_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu.sh" Unfortunately I get the following error after unpacking it and running "./boinc": ./boinc: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by ./boinc) Since I have no intension to change the distri on the server, nor would it be a good idea to replace the entire glibc with a newer one, I seek advice what to do to get it up and running. Thank you a lot in advance. André ![]() |

You should be able to use an older version of BOINC. The current versions are here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php
You will have to use the 32bit release (and you will need 32bit libraries, as well). |

Andrew - I apologise that there has been no update on this for you, so I can only say that 64bit Boinc clients do work here at WCG with at least some 64bit distros - whether that includes Debian Etch I can't say.
