Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Sure, widdershins
Base Camp began the 'Sawyer's Dad' trek on November 1st being briefed by OldChap.
Sawyer's and Base Camp's goal was 100 years.
Shortly after, OldChap was going to start treatment for squamous cell carcinoma,
and we decided to let the 'Sawyer's Dad' trek morph seamlessly
into Base Camp's 'OldChap' trek - an open ended trek lasting at least
to the beginning of January 2020 when OldChap's treatment plan is fulfilled.

On November 29th we reached 100 years for Sawyer's Cancer Fighting Network,
and Sawyer himself suggested we changed over to the 'OldChap' trek, which we are running now.
You already earned the Sawyer's Dad badge, widdershins

and by rejoining Sawyer's Cancer Fighting Network, you'll earn the OldChap badge as well

You see, the 'OldChap' trek is designed to donate this crew's work to
Sawyer's Cancer Fighting Network in honour of OldChap.
I hope I explained this relatively understandably.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Ah! I see where I was going wrong, I thought the Old Chap trek would begin with the BC'rs shifting camp to his team. Instead the camp is staying on the current camping grounds and just changing menu from American barbecue, to British roast.

In that case I'll pop back over until the 250 years is reached.

Good Morning Base Campers!
Business
This OldChap crew, the 'Sawyer's Dad' crew, and Sawyer's original team members
have brought Sawyer's Cancer Fighting Network to almost 222 years in less than three months cool
I wonder whether this ever has been done before in WCG history thinking

Accounting
widdershins crunched with us in the 'Sawyer's Dad' trek.
Now he's back helping out with the 'OldChap' trek.
Welcome widdershins rose good to see you again. Please make a habit out of it biggrin
TLD went back to SeriousCrunchers again.
Thank you for being here - and for the trouts we grilled on the bicycle grill. We'll keep the light on for you just in case ... wink
[CSF] Damon Hill has returned to Crunchers Sans Frontieres for a challenge
- we hope to see you back when it's over
and at that time you and deltavee will play on a more even ground, provided deltavee stays ...

rose Good Afternoon Base Campers!
Business
As OldChap has finished the first third of a total of 6 weeks' treatment,
I'm happy to report that as per today Sawyer's Cancer Fighting Network has chalked up 238+ years applause

Accounting
We said goodbye and thank you very much to deltavee rose
- it was a pleasure having you along once more
- and we say welcome to Groundhog.SETI.USA[TopGun] rose
If you read this Groundhog.SETI.USA[TopGun] I should like to ask you:
How did you find our camp ground in Plymouth, England?
You see, I'm terribly unsure of my marketing skills these days as
I see many turning their backs from this
- in my opinion
very worthwhile OldChap trek, so any feedback would be a great help.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Morning Base Campers!
Business
Barred any unimaginable events, tomorrow will be the day we shall hit
250 years
because we now stand at
249:274:13:41:56
bluestang, that's what you thought we should give Sawyer for December 25th
laughing we're early - and I for one don't stop here cool
Accounting
We're the same crew now as we were yesterday.
This is a very good crew love struck
We may expect the Global Protection Team people going home as we reach 250 years.
On the other hand, we might have [CSF] Damon Hill and possibly [CSF] David White back
if their team challenge is over.
In general I hope as many as possible will
join for whatever time he can spare.
