![]() It looks like a delicious melted candy French horn .thepeacemaker7, little mermaid, Je suis confus. Essayez ! ---------- I'm confused. I tried to find out, and it's even worse! In fact, Zblabia is not an Algerian recipe. There are many variants throughout the Maghreb! And there are as many ways as there are regions. I learned that in places, they add lemon! (why not ?) What I can say is that on the market on Saturday morning. Ladies who do them (and many other Arab specialties) If I take two for greed, it makes me at least 4 days of dessert! Very sweet and burly, it's a delight, but you do not go hungry. But if you have the opportunity, they are gilded 'all fresh' (fresh grilled?) Try! ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Nov 1, 2018 2:24:04 AM] |

Yes, stefada, it gets more mysterious by the hour ....
- and that colour! It reminds me of some orange colored forest snails (arion rufus) found in Denmark. Their color can be almost glow-in-the-dark orange. ![]() I know the Spanish churros, but I think they take more ingedients ![]() |

I thought I would stop by to say Hello to Basecamp. I am still here. It has been a bad few months here, a few friend pasted away for Cancer, and I was helping their families. I hope the rest of the year is better. Happy All Saints Day

Good to see you, smspell.
I'm sorry you have had an unhappy time since we last met, and hope to see more of you. I was afraid you had given up on your dedicated work, but you haven't, and that's good. ![]() Good Morning Base Campers! Business nap has come up with several suggestions for a badge for The International Team 3.0 trek. That trek will probably no be until mid/ultimo November. I think we all need some R&R after Base Camp’s GRAND GALLA SNURK CELEBRATION trek All who participated helped SNURK and friends make una bella figura, and I'm so happy that we have accomplished reaching #4 in the 2018 THOR Challenge. A very desirable side effect of that trek is that SNURK and friends gained several new permanent members in the process. If we are lucky some of them will join Base Camp on future treks. ![]() Chit-chat Yesterday's tourism trip in my own city was great fun. The folder is in Danish, but I think you get the gist: It is constructed like an orienteering race. You must find a number of posts, and at each a detail matching one of the pictures. It challenges you to look high and low and focus in a new way on buildings, sculptures and such which you have never regarded as anything special, but all of a sudden springs to new life. ![]() |

little mermaid,
---------- I feel ridiculous that zlabia is my favorite cake. But I found 20 recipes, all different! The ingredients are not the same, they are fried in boiling water or oil ... I have the impression that it is so a classic in the Maghreb, that everyone has his recipe 'personal / family' . Note that for the color, some add food coloring (about 1/3 recipes, of what I saw). But normally, honey does that. And to compare to Churros, it's a lot more crispy, with a very different taste. Not easy to describe, honey caramelized by being fried ? One thing is certain, if one day you come to Saint Affrique, it is on the list of things that you have to taste. smspell, Je te souhaite que les mois à venir soient plus joyeux. ---------- I wish you that the coming months will be more joyful. And do not hesitate to go to Base Camp, it's a good way to change your mind. ---------- It's great that some crunchers have chosen to stay in the SNURK and friends team! And as they are active on the forum, yes, there are chances that they participate in the next Trek. NB: Standing to save new badges Edit : Comme Google n'a pas l'air de savoir traduire. -------- How Google does not seem to know how to translate. Maghreb is a French word that represents the whole Algeria Morocco Tunisia. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Nov 1, 2018 10:41:43 PM] |
