Paul Auster???
----------------------------------------Is he only world famous in Denmark? Well, we do have a soft spot for him here. Wiki-something to the rescue: Paul Auster The Music of Chance The Music of Chance - the movie - worth to watch if only for Mandy Patinkin - the brother of whom Mark Patinkin - by us called Potemkin was an excellent columnist at The Providence Journal Bulletin - now contemporarily and nauseatingly called Projo and had a weak spot for Don Bousquet with whom he wrote Rhode Island Dictionary where you learn that De boatayuz means more than one, less than three but who may be even more famous for his Quahog cartoons of which I to my chagrin couldn't find any, but his style is such: ![]() - and isn't it an awful long time since we heard: Rhode Island Is Famous for You - and now you're up to date on Paul Auster - and I didn't know I missed the Biggest Little State in the Union that much [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 18, 2011 10:25:22 AM] |

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
rwillis and Sport said arrivederci to Trek #29 *The Survivors*Thank you very much for your generous contributions, Gentlemen Have a safe and pleasant trip to your home teams. I broke Base Camp Forum. I'm sorry, but I hope to be able to restore it - if not to it's previous state then to a cross between the previous and original, but please do not expect fast results. It works, but looks different - and maybe it's healthy for us to look at something new ..... one can always hope In spite of this catastrophe, you will still be able to post suggestions for our Trek #29 badge. Please do it before Saturday, when TLD puts up a vote - provided he has stopped trembling ... As the first country in the world, Denmark has a tax on fat. Mayonnaise and butter, olive oil and bacon became more expensive. Some £1.80 - €2.10 - US$ 3.00 per kilo fat. So there's an idea for your country to persue Tax on fat Romance ... Dream, Dream, Dream ![]() |

he-he
What would the opportunity be? You put that opportunity as the #2 item in our next Hexagame set, OK? - oh, have a cookie - sugar tax, fat tax, green tax for the power for baking, subsidies for the farmers that grew the wheat and milked the cows, green tax for transporting it all, and .... BUT we do receive a lot back, altho we loose something in translation on the way to the Forum(s) |

I think not No, you're right - not exactly Chanel No 5-ish ![]() Will there be a black market dealing in Beef Suet,Lard,Dripping and maybe some Olive oil to get the kiddies hooked.... Yes. You'll find us squatting in doubtful hideaways doing fish'n chips, ice cream and Helman's ... the babies loudly demanding whole milk instead of lowfat ... |

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
None of us left Trek #29 *The Survivors* since yesterday, but it is beginning to show in the graphs that we are seeping homewards. TLD is mending Base Camp Forum as we speak. I tried my best to make the spiffy red-white-and-blue theme of our original home, but it turns out - I'm informed - that red is out of the question. There was a vote against red at some point when I was hibernating. So TLD has taken the restoration upon himself - after all he's in construction - and I appealed to pinky in "Calling pinky" to help if she has the time. I hope she'll pass through soon. In the meantime, we are not really dressed to receive visitors Tonight Guitar Man's band Backbeat is going to practise two new songs, and they will be our music today: When You Say Nothing at All and The Road to Hell My musical illiteracy is embarrassing. Chris Rea I never heard of before - so let's take one more just for the sake of love: And You My Love - Ha! you don't think I would like to listen to Backbeat live, do you? |
