projects i didnt select in the web site still send tasks

i didn't use the grid for a year because of vista.
now i installed bonic but i'm not sure it recogniz my account.

Well, you managed to sign in here, so that's a good sign.

Check your preferences - there are different projects running on the grid since you were last here, and they will be enabled by default.

i can sign in , and i can change my preference in the web
but when i start bonic on my computer it doesn't ask me to sign in,
it just start working . how can it retrieve information from my account then?

Click "Update" in the advanced view, and BOINC will get your updated preferences.

You can abort any tasks that you don't want to finish.
