Re: how to prove its safe?

BOINC was security audited by IBM before being made the official World Community Grid software.

Support is being withdrawn for the UD agent.

Hello tgkprog,
i was wondering if anyone has some public figures of independant testing (by an individial/ organisation) ?

Al Bunshaft, IBM's vice president of Grid computing, has an article in the 22 November 2004 issue of GRIDtoday * http://www.gridtoday.com/04/1122/104295.html ) which says that IBM did a security audit of the UD client. IBM security audits every application on the World Community Grid.

Re: how to prove its safe?

I previously worked for the NHS and they will not run the grid agent for similar concerns. They also stated that their code of connection to NHS Net (N3 as it is now) prevents running the application. Is this correct, and if so, is there anything that could be done to resolve this.
