Re: I aborted one of these work units today

Did WCG not warn that the reference machine took 14 hours to do them and they were tough to chew? Just consider the accomplishment biggrin

You and I are posting at the same time. See my previous post.

I think that my machine is tough enough. devilish

Re: I aborted one of these work units today

WCG aim for 10 hours per work unit, but it's not always possible. Even in a batch of normal work units, there are sometimes monster units.

I don't know enough about ACH to say whether this work unit is unusual for the batch or not. Sometimes, the only way we can find out is by trying the work units, and watching for problems.

All I'm doing is reporting what may be a problem.

Maybe it had bad hair day. The daily and weekly averages thru yesterday in fact indicate a drop in run time and with the few being run daily, little is needed to affect the numbers

I have another tough one!

The last one that completed (the one from my previous posts this thread):

ach1_ 18_ 43_ 8-- Valid 01/23/2008 21:57:55 01/25/2008 21:41:42 30.71 734.3 / 54.4

Re: I aborted one of these work units today

Be thankful you get any ACH units. I rarely if ever see them. Last one I had, ach1_ 12_ 1_ 154, errored out back on Dec 25. At least I can't say it was my machine. 47 copies were sent out and all reported errors. Haven't seen any more since that I know of.

Re: I aborted one of these work units today

Maybe it would be better to be thankful for not receiving any work units from this project. 44.44 hours of CPU time for an Error.

Re: I aborted one of these work units today

I don't know anything about all these messages and such - where to find them or anything else about them - that I see asked for all the time.

Best I can tell the work unit completed.

Click on "messages" in BOINC Manager.
