It is going a bit slow, the poll hiding in the Dengue support forum, so here's your chance in a second focussed thread. All the *Yes why, No Why Not* we know, so the 3rd, conditional was dreamed up.
----------------------------------------*My Projects* and *Device Profiles* are "All Projects" except for a particular machine who's bad at HPF2, so activated/created the *school* profile and attached the device to that. Still, like for new projects to be added until chosen otherwise if not of the resource hog nature.... .... click on any of the 3 links for your vote. Poll: I want to be always opted in for a new WCG project: Just close the voting page and hit F5 to refresh this poll statistic! (Sorry, it's in foleign tong! While it is interesting to see what the results of this poll will be I am thinking that an easy satisfactory solution would be to add this option to the user's "My projects" page.
----------------------------------------Since some people don't want to crunch for other projects even when there is no work for the one(s) they have chosen it seems legitimate that those people (or others) want to decide by themselves if they want to crunch for a new project. So why not create a new profile option like Do you wish to be added to new projects when they are launched? In the meantime the techs might consider not opting in members who have unchecked the box "If there is no work available for my computer...". Cheers. Jean. |
